District Contest

First of all, good job to all bands who participated in Artesia, it was a wonderful afternoon. Our band is actually on an upswing from where we were last week. We performed our first two songs at the best they've been all season, even though that's not saying much its still amazing, but when the third part came around we fell apart. This was the first time actually performing parts II or III in public and the first time for III to be played all the way through period... and for that I must commend them all. We've still got aways to go before Saturday and I'm really hoping we can make it there. As long as we have people practicing music and marching I hope that we could at least have a good show. Good Luck.
PS: Great job Goddard and Roswell High and good luck for your coming contests.
Music has always been something that I could rely on to keep me tied to the real world and get away from it all at the same time. What I can't understand is why some people don't love what music can do for people. In our marching band th purpose has strayed away from getting to know and love music to "why can't we do these simple things etc." Part of which is my fault. Music comes so easily to me sometimes that I don't realize that others don't have the same feeling. While I can feel the music to march with it others really have to work at it and it's so hard for me to acknowledge that. Also, being as competitive as I am it's hard to keep myself under control and realize that sometimes mistakes happen on all fronts. Please pray for me to keep may patience high and temper low as I try to make the last week before marching competition somewhat enjoyable. If I can't do it this week maybe we can do it next.

Band Events

You know, I never thought that band would be a place for drama. But the last couple years it has been completely dramafied (that should be a word). Every time I try to stamp it all out it seems to cause more and more drama until the entirety of the world is flooded in icky gelatinous drama soup. Bleh, it makes me sick just thinking about it. I guess there is no more trying to stomp on it because more people will rise against. So much drama, so little want.

Zombieland!

Zombieland was a great movie. Zombies lurking around every corner (with a healthy dose of laughter). The rules of surviving Zombieland was one of the best parts though. it added a nice touch to the comedy aspects. Plus the backgrounds on how each person became where they are in Zombieland was great. Then of course you can't go wrong when you throw in a lil Bill Murray!! I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.
I'm sure that none can match what God has in store. But to wait for that is torture. I guess we all must wait and see, continue his work, and lead as many people along with us as possible.

This Just In!

Hey! Just so you know President Obama believes that tomatoes are some of the best and healthiest fruit.

Witches

Did you know: Witches used to use tomatoes as a method of summoning werewolves. The tomato has toxic chemicals that can cause hallucinations and if eaten too much death. The hallucinations were called "visions" by the witches.

True evil.

For true evil does not lie in the hearts of men, but rather, the tomato.

FOR THOSE WHO REFUSE THE TRUTH!

For those of you unwilling to accept that tomatoes are evil: never pick a wild tomato. Tomatoes are not native to the United States but the deadly nightshade IS!! They are very similar plants, nightshades do tend to be slightly smaller, but the if you come across a wild "tomato" do not eat. That "tomato" is probably a red DEADLY nightshade!! Nowadays tomatoes probably do grow some in the wild, but all the same, steer clear of these poisonous creations of Satan, whether it's a garden tomato or nighshade.
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes theme song/intro credits.
Just in case you didn't know I am the drum major for the Dexter High School marching band. Last night was our very first performance of the season. I'm sure you can guess how it went.... AWFUL! It started out almost ok but then it just went down the drain. We had most of the band either not playing at all or not playing loud enough to be heard :-( Just by asking around I'm sure several people had eaten tomatoes before halftime. I'm sure that is what ruined our chances at a good first performance.

Sickness

It has been confirmed that my sickness is not the swine flu but a simple sinus infection (with fever). The tomatoes have done their worst and I am now on an upswing (being helped by some amoxicillin pills). Anyway I figured I'd let you know that the tomatoes can be a dangerous health risk. Death to Tomato.

SICK!!

Last night we had tomato sauce on spagetti for dinner. snnnk... now I feel very sick. Literally. I have a fever of 101. My throat and sinuses are very cloged up... snnk... I knew I shouldn't've done it... bleh...

Mango Salsa Recipe | Simply Recipes

Mango Salsa Recipe Simply Recipes:
"Mango Salsa Recipe
Print OptionsPrint (no photos)Print (with photos)
Ingredients
1 ripe mango, peeled, pitted, and diced (about 1 1/2 cup)
1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped
1 JalapeƱo chile, minced (include ribs and seeds for a hotter taste if desired)
1 small cucumber, peeled and diced (about 1 cup)
3 Tbsp fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Also good with diced red bell pepper and jicama.

Method
Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. If the salsa ends up being a little too hot or acidic for your taste, you can temper it by adding some diced avocado."

This salsa is TOMATO FREE! The mango adds a sweet taste to the spicy creating a delicious conflict of flavor on your tounge. You can replace the mango with either cantaloupe or papaya, but personally I prefer the mango.

Tomatoes invading the internet!!

Today in class we had to take personality tests on line for "Gifted." After we took the serious test we took a test for which famous leader each of us were. I don't know how but I guess the tomatoes were running the server... my friends got Bill Clinton and Saddam Hussein and I got Adolf Hitler. Coinky-dink, I think not. The tomatoes may have found the blog but it will not stop me from revealing the truth of this conspiracy.

Adolf Hitler ate tomatoes!

Today, I heard a rumor that Adolf Hitler enjoyed eating tomatoes... especially before he began a battle. I believe this must be true considering the monstrosities he commited during his reign in Germany. As you can see in the photo he was not only a fan of tomatoes but carrots. Luckily carrots are not nearly as corruptive as tomatoes.
I have also heard rumors that Charles Manson, the infamed serial killer, was also a tomato eater. That would explain the motive behind his crimes and demonstrate the corruptive influence of tomatoes. Hopefully, after 40 years in prison he hasn't been eating this food of mass destruction.
Tomatoes are EVIL.
Remember disease... Tomatoes have carried the salmonella virus several times over the course of history. Tomatoes can be very hazardous to your health.
The best way to avoid disease carried by tomato... avoid tomato!

These penguins ate tomatoes. As you can see one turned into a jerk and realized their mistake. To make himself feel better he slapped his friend into the water for letting them be so stupid.
Today, a sack of tomatoes caused one of the Escalade's seats to collapse and flip one of our passengers out of her seat!
Coldplay has postponed their Tampa concert! Could this be due to overeating tomatoes!?
This blog is for the anti-tomato community. I have found that tomatoes are the reason behind most if not all of the worlds problems. If you are a believer or non-believer follow these postings to see the truth in the worlds problems. Tomatoes are EVIL!
